Build 4.3 · Software Amusements
Test first. It is recommended to test your software fully in the REFRACT emulator before wrapping it with this tool. A wrapped build is the same emulator with the page furniture removed, so anything that misbehaves there will misbehave here — and the wrapped file has no controls to diagnose it with.
Tape images (.tap, .tzx) cannot be wrapped: loading one needs a Spectrum system ROM, which is Amstrad's to license and is not bundled here. Convert your tape to a snapshot or .nex first.
The subtitle is fixed — it is the attribution the licence rests on.
Every build opens with the REFRACT logo and has its payload scrambled against casual extraction. Both are always on.
The builder and the emulator it embeds are free to use for free releases, demos and non-commercial work. If you sell, or otherwise charge for, a kiosk build made with this tool, you are asked to pay for it — £10 minimum for a commercial licence, more if you judge it fair. Paid distribution without that is not permitted.
