About the game

The Doodies have risen from the sewers, and only your squad stands between them and the Golden Throne.

Doody Calls is a full 3D first-person shooter played straight in the browser. Fight through nine war zones: a sewage works, a battered high street, a blacked-out shopping mall, a flooded metro line, a desert launch site and an air force base, then the Expansion Pack's beach landing, snowy mountain ridge and container ship at the docks. Each one is five "bowel movements" long, with a boss at the end.

The three newest sectors are built around objectives: storm ashore from a landing craft and take the Poo-box bunkers under machine-gun fire, fight up Brown Peak checkpoint by checkpoint while logs come rolling down, and battle through a maze of shipping containers to take the bridge of the Good Ship Stinky. Each comes with its own weather: rolling surf on the beach, falling snow on the ridge and a rainstorm over the ship.

The Doodies fight back with parachute drops from Poo-copters, Doody Tanks and jeeps, rocket-firing Plopper snipers and tougher dark breeds as the war goes on. Every so often the Golden Throne erupts in a Poonami of poo bombs. Later sectors bring the Giga Poo, a monster as tall as a building that only the Flush Nuke can stop.

Weapons include the Plunger-47, the Flush-12 shotgun, the U-Bend .50 sniper, the Poo-zooka and Air Freshener grenades. There are 200 ranks and 30 medals to earn, with online leaderboards to climb.

Under the hood is Glyph, a custom 3D renderer written from scratch. The whole game ships as a single self-contained web page.

The first three sectors are free for everyone, with no adverts and no loot boxes. Players who want the rest of the war can buy the Supporter Pack (sectors 4–6) and the Expansion Pack (sectors 7–9): single $1.99 payments that are theirs for good and work on any device with an unlock code.
